François Savard

Originally from France, François Savard moved to Norway in 2019, where he joined the digital agency Journey as a designer. It was there that he met lawyer and entrepreneur Erling Løken Andersen, who introduced him to the idea that would eventually become Advokatguiden.

At the time, François Savard background was in design, user experience, and digital products. Advokatguiden started as a product design project internally and quickly became a success requiring dedicated attention.

Building Advokatguiden required much more than designing interfaces. It meant understanding how people search for legal services, what creates trust online, and how technology could make an industry built on reputation more transparent. Working closely with lawyers, clients, developers, and Erling Løken Andersen fundamentally changed the way François Savard approached product development. Rather than asking how a product should look, the focus was on how it should work for the people using it.

As Advokatguiden grew, so did his role. Product design gradually expanded into product strategy, marketplace development, commercial growth, and international expansion. In 2024, François Savard became the new CEO, leading the company's next phase as Advokatguiden expanded beyond Norway into new markets, especially the US, through The Lawyer Guide.

Today, François Savard remains closely involved in both the commercial and technical development of the company. He works daily with the sales team to expand Advokatguiden's presence among law firms while continuing to work alongside developers on improving the platform itself. New features, user experience, lawyer tools, AI capabilities, and product improvements remain a central part of his day-to-day work.

One of his main priorities is preparing Advokatguiden for the next generation of legal search. As more people begin their search for legal advice through AI-powered tools rather than traditional search engines, the platform is evolving beyond a traditional lawyer directory into an AI-first legal discovery platform. The goal is to ensure that lawyers with genuine expertise remain visible, discoverable, and trusted wherever people choose to search.

Under François Savard's leadership, Advokatguiden continues to invest in better matching between lawyers and clients, richer lawyer profiles, verified reviews, and tools that help legal professionals strengthen their online presence. Every product decision follows the same principle that has guided the company since its launch: making it easier for people to find the right lawyer while giving lawyers a fair and transparent platform to showcase their expertise.

For François Savard, the mission remains the same today as it was in 2020: building technology that creates trust between lawyers and the people who need them most.
